Clare Frederick

Associate

Clare is an attorney in the area of patent and trademark law and is registered to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  She has experience drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications in the chemical, mechanical, and medical device arts.

While at Chicago-Kent, Clare was Managing Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property and held positions on the boards of the Intellectual Property Law Society and the Journal of Environmental and Energy Law. 

Clare received her B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University. While at Northwestern, Clare was a research assistant on a wetlands phosphorus removal project and a member of the crew team.  After completing her undergraduate degree, Clare practiced environmental engineering in the drinking water and solid/hazardous waste practice areas. Projects ranged from the design of a chemical feed systems and other improvements at drinking water facilities to landfill design, permit compliance, and construction oversight.
