John E. Conour, Ph.D.

Patent Agent/Law Clerk

John joined McCracken & Frank in 2005 after completing his doctoral studies in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he previously received his B.S. in molecular and integrative physiology. At the University of Illinois, John was a USDA National Needs Graduate Fellow in functional genomics. John’s research featured cross-disciplinary collaborations with individuals in the fields of human nutrition, chemical engineering, and biophysics. His research centered on regulatory mechanisms governing cell growth, for which John designed electromechanical devices to control intracellular biochemistry, created novel protein tools for intracellular biochemical analyses, and performed combinatory bioinformatic/in vitro studies on proteins governing cell growth.
