Erin focuses her practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications, client counseling, due diligence and the preparation of validity, infringement and patentability opinions.  Erin also concentrates on litigation support, including the drafting of memoranda, motions, complaints and declarations. 

Erin’s technical focus is primarily in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software arts including medical devices and surgical navigation systems.  Her experience encompasses household consumer products, such as fragrance, insecticide, and light diffusion devices, overcaps for aerosol containers, cleaning devices, cleaning products, thermoplastic bags and containers, cutting sheets, and processes and apparatuses for manufacturing such consumer products.  Erin’s experience further includes work in industries such as healthcare, printing tools, extrusion dies, wireless networks, and software, and more specifically in areas such as pre-press methods and apparatuses, printing inks, digital printing presses, tool holding devices, wireless network devices, and software products.

Prior to starting her legal career, Erin was a computer consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers where she developed and maintained three-tiered web applications for use by customers in business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions.  Additionally, Erin gained substantial work experience in the design and development of automated trading systems from her work as a software engineer for Trading Technologies International, Inc.
