A note from William E. McCracken, founding and managing partner of McCracken & Frank:
In 2001, the prospects for starting a unique intellectual property law firm appeared excellent. Taking the plunge, I left my former large Chicago law firm to establish William E. McCracken & Associates. Since that time, the firm has grown quite rapidly - thanks not only to the confidence placed in us by the clients who stayed with us through our start up, but also to our trusted associates. In January of 2002, J. William Frank, III, decided to retire as Chief Patent Counsel of S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. and join the firm, which then became McCracken & Frank LLP. Over the past several years, the firm has been able to expand its offices twice and we have added experienced professionals from all backgrounds and cultures to build a very strong legal team.
Reflecting on the firm's growth, I am continually thankful to be surrounded by dedicated and skilled professionals and clients, as well as a wonderful law firm community. McCracken & Frank reflects my beliefs and philosophy in serving its clients: collaboration, collegiality, and excellence. I look forward to continued growth and new partnerships as McCracken & Frank continues to provide intellectual property expertise to its clients.
Sincerely,
William E. McCracken
